SSRF Needs Assessment Reveals Urgent Gaps at Nyarigolo IDP Site

The South Sudan Relief Foundation (SSRF) has released a rapid needs assessment report from Nyarigolo IDP site in Morobo County, home to 2,109 households (8,474 IDPs). The assessment, conducted in July 2025, uncovered critical humanitarian gaps across all major sectors:

WASH: Only one water point; no latrines or hygiene promotion.

Health: No access to healthcare, vaccines, or maternal services.

Shelter/NFIs: Fragile shelters; urgent need for blankets, mats, and mosquito nets.

Food & Livelihoods: Over 80% food insecurity; no livelihood support.

Education: No learning spaces or school materials.

Protection: High risks for women, children, and separated minors.

Despite minimal support from Action Against Hunger and Stromme Foundation, urgent multisectoral intervention is needed—especially during the rainy season.

📌 SSRF urges all humanitarian actors to prioritize Nyarigolo with emergency relief, mobile health services, and education access.
