🌍 Protection Program
Safeguarding Lives. Restoring Dignity. Empowering Communities.
At South Sudan Relief Foundation (SSRF), we believe that every person deserves to live in safety and dignity—free from violence, exploitation, and discrimination. Our Protection Thematic Area is dedicated to defending the rights and well-being of the most vulnerable members of our communities, particularly women, children, and persons with disabilities.
We prioritize prevention, response, and empowerment through a rights-based and survivor-centered approach that integrates community participation and accountability.
What We Do
🟣 Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention & Response
We work to prevent and respond to GBV through:
Community-led awareness and behavioral change campaigns
Support groups and trauma-informed care for survivors
Training local leaders, youth, and men as GBV champions
🟡 Child Protection
SSRF addresses all forms of child abuse, neglect, and exploitation by:
Educating parents, caregivers, and communities on children’s rights
Strengthening referral pathways and response mechanisms
Promoting school safety and inclusive learning environments
🟢 Disability Inclusion & Rights
We ensure persons with disabilities are protected, included, and supported through:
Advocacy for disability rights and inclusive services
Building accessible safe spaces and infrastructures
Partnering with Disabled Persons Organizations (DPOs)
